About the Quilt & Fiber Arts Shop:

For those of you who are not familiar with Etsy, Wikipedia says it best:

Etsy is an e-commerce website focused on handmade or vintage items as well as art and craft supplies.  It has been compared to “a crafty cross between Amazon and eBay,”[2] and to “your grandma’s basement.”[

This is a fabulous opportunity for artists to sell our creations and offer credit card options at a reasonable cost.

If you didn’t find this blog via email:  Want to get a secret coupon code for 25% off?  Tell me in the comment box and I’ll email it to you!  The code is good until April 25.  That’s 2 weeks!

Give the Perfect Gift:  Customized!

One of the best things I do is offer customized Quilts, Art Quilts, Bags, Dolls, Baby Play Mats or whatever you have in mind.  On the upper right of this page you will see the widget that says “Made Just For You”.  There you can learn more about how I calculate the cost of custom made items.  I will be adding more information to that page as I have more samples available to view.  Just tell me what you have in mind and I will work hard to make your idea come to life.

See Dolls in the Quilt & Fiber Arts Shop

SkyGirl© Dolls are an original creation I’ve been developing over several years.  If you order a custom doll, you can choose your colors, fabrics, characteristics and hobbies specific to the recipient.  Read more about the process and the SkyGirl story.

And just a couple more thoughts

If you read on, particularly the post: The Art of Going Pro, you will see that few months have been quite busy and full of learning new things.   In the post you can see all of the resources I found and steps I took to get to where I am now.

Check the Workshops page to find information about workshops I offer at The Gallery On High in Pottstown, PA.  Every season I offer something new for beginners, kids and adults.  See the Summer Session post to see what’s coming up.

Thanks for visiting!!  Don’t forget to comment to enter the Quilt Drawing!

  1. Wow, very nice stuff– I’ve got my four-leaf clover out!

  2. You have me inspired! Wish you were closer so we could meet in person. Cyn is visiting me next week! Good luck with Etsy.

    • Hi Karen!
I recognize your smiling face! It could be from Cyn’s blog or SAQA.
Spreading the inspiration is a great thing! Thanks for that 😀
Give her a big hug for me when you see her. She helped me so much with her coaching.
      Good Luck in the drawing!

  3. I am a follower of CYNWORKS and all her helpful advice and enthusiasm – so I followed her link to you. Great to see your accomplishments online. Mine are a bit different as I work with dogs and sheep but if you ever need raw wool for your projects just contact me!

    • Hi Suzanne!
LOL! Actually…… I’ve been wanting to try some stuff with wool. However, I do not want to start dying wool. Too many irons in the fire!
Now, I do have a neighbor who is absolutely nuts about wool and can’t seem to find the time to raise Alpacas… Hmmmm…… I’ll see if she’s interested!
Thanks for visiting!!! I’ll toss your name into the hat / bin/ bucket thing! 😀

  4. Your etsy shop looks wonderful! I look forward to seeing more new creations… (Love the kitty cat tote by the way – it looks poised for icanhascheezburger-esque mischief!)

  5. You have been busy! Everything looks wonderful.

  6. Congratulations on your great blog, Facebook page, so much hard work and new Vision goal! Looks like you are well on your way to achieving them!

  7. I wish my scar tissue were so beautiful! I’m showing your Sky Girl dolls to my daughter to see if she wants one for her birthday present. Gorgeous work on all your stuff!

    • You are very kind. Scar Tissue is not so pretty but it does lend to very strong character. Thanks for thinking of my dolls for your kiddo! My daughter has the very first one, which she partly inspired… Hopefully it isn’t under a pile of dirty laundry! 😀
Your name goes into the bowl!
      Good Luck!!!
